Ensure a good electrical connection

For Flow to operate well, ensure the flow meter connections are clean and tight fitting (contacts on the Flow wafer cable can be adjusted by bending gently with a flat head screwdriver).


Corroded contacts or flow meter pins may need to be replaced.

Confirm the Flow Gateway is receiving signal

Checking Flow is correctly connected to your coffee machine


What does a bad connection look like?

Symptoms of a bad connection are:

  1. The correct grouphead indicator does not illuminate on the Flow Gateway when a purge is run through the coffee machine
  2. Running a purge on one grouphead causes an ongoing signal one or more other groupheads
  3. Noise in the flow profile of extractions (indicated by the high frequency spikes):

Avoiding interference

Avoid running signal cables close to pumps and power cables to prevent potential interference from these sources
